Access Information
The following facilities are available at the Book Festival for visitors with access requirements:
- Fully wheelchair accessible site and free wheelchair hire. Please note: our temporary ramp on the North side of the Gardens will not be available in 2009 due to the traffic redirection around Charlotte Square. Please use the drop-off zone at the end of George Street, opposite the entrance to the Gardens. There will be two temporary disabled parking bays at the end of George Street throughout the period of the Book Festival for the use of our visitors.
- A selection of British Sign Language interpreted events.
- Infrared systems in all theatres to assist people with auditory impairments. Please collect a set of earphones from the Information Desk in the Entrance Tent prior to your event.
- Guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome.
