David Hare (2015 Event)
One of the most celebrated writers of his generation, David Hare’s notable plays include Plenty, Skylight and The Absence of War. In this event, recorded live at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, Hare discusses his powerful and often very funny memoir, The Blue Touch Paper, which takes him from his days as a student at Oxford through to the 1970s and his early breakthroughs as a playwright. He talks to fellow playwright and former Channel 4 Head of Drama, Peter Ansorge.
