New Book Festival event to celebrate the life of Edwin Morgan

Following the death of Edwin Morgan last week, we would like to confirm that a special event with a wide variety of contributors will be held on Monday 30 August to celebrate the life of Scotland’s first National Poet.

Sad Loss of Scottish Makar Edwin Morgan

It is with regret that we receive the sad news of the death of legendary Scottish poet Edwin Morgan, only a day after the Book Festival's Edwin Morgan International Poetry Competition.

Open University event

On Sunday 22 August the Book Festival is hosting our event in association with the Open University. On Sunday morning the Party Pavilion will be open to all, free of charge, for OU information, opportunities and course sign-ups. Just drop by!
