A New Kind of Superhero with Samantha Baines
Harriet Versus the Galaxy is a brilliantly funny intergalactic adventure that will have you snorting with laughter. When Harriet discovers that her hearing aid can help her understand the alien invaders, she becomes the Earth’s main source of contact with far-off planets. But while Harriet can easily decipher the sock-munching aliens’s thoughts, it’s much harder to understand her own feelings.
Have your hearing loss stereotypes turned upside down by comedian, actor, hearing aid-wearer and author of Harriet Versus the Galaxy, Samantha Baine. Samantha joins us for a thought-provoking conversation with Charlie Swinbourne, a director, screenwriter and journalist whose work focuses on Deaf culture.
This is a pre-recorded event.
