Indigenous Voices
All over the world people are persecuted or imprisoned for writing critically about their government or country. Often people’s freedom of expression is suppressed due to their indigenous background or because using their native language is too great a risk. Hear the work of writers who have taken that risk. Reading today are: Val McDermid, Annaleese Jochems, Leila Aboulela and Taqralik Partridge.
