Two debuts unravel complex family dynamics and loss with wry humour. In Cecilia Knapp’s collection, Peach Pig, the former Young People’s Laureate for London explores the experience of motherlessness and grapples with grief passed between generations. Imogen West-Knights’ novel Deep Down follows two estranged siblings who are thrown back together after the death of their father and must navigate their relationship while funeral planning in Paris. Chaired by Lucia Osborne-Crowley.
