Chris McCabe on Ulysses
Mon 12 Aug 11:00 - 12:30
James Joyce’s Ulysses is considered controversial; experimental in form, it follows the encounters of Leopold Bloom over the course of one day in Dublin. Join poet Chris McCabe to explore the parallels between Joyce’s presentation of Leopold’s experiences and those of Homer's Odysseus in The Odyssey. Expect an open discussion from the start; read the book ahead of the event or be inspired to pick it up afterwards.
Tickets go on sale at 8:30am on Tuesday 25 June.
