Take a deep dive into the conventions of Regency society, helped along by a writer who knew how to shoot a sly critique at the ridiculousness of its workings - it could only be Jane Austen. Novelist and activist Yara Rodrigues Fowler will guide you through Austen’s – marginally – lesser-known novel, Mansfield Park and the complicated relations surrounding her quiet heroine, Fanny Brice. This workshop will be enjoyable for those with existing knowledge of Mansfield Park and for those new to Austen’s work.
