Following the completion of her trilogy of formally inventive ‘living autobiographies’, Deborah Levy is widely regarded as one of the great writers of her generation. She returns to Edinburgh to discuss August Blue, an exceptional novel of fractured identity, written in her typically alluring style. Today Levy enters into dialogue about this mesmerising portrait of a piano virtuoso with Guardian chief culture writer Charlotte Higgins.
