Family secrets are uprooted in two remarkable novels. A Scottish air-traffic controller searches for her distant Jewish family in Eleanor Thom’s Connective Tissue. A mysterious inheritance takes the protagonist of Wiz Wharton’s Ghost Girl, Banana back to her mother’s homeland of Hong Kong. Join Thom and Wharton as they discuss travelling back in time to explore family secrets and inherited histories. Chaired by Eilidh Akilade.
