These two poets dwell in the ever-shifting textures of language. Mary Jean Chan follows up their award-winning debut Flèche with Bright Fear, a radiant collection that reckons with queerphobia and anti-Asian racism and finds refuge in the radical power of poetry. Joining Chan is poet and essayist Nina Mingya Powles, whose first collection, Magnolia, finds joy in multiplicities: of identities, sensations, and inheritances. Please note, Mary Jean Chan will appear remotely. Chaired by Alycia Pirmohamed.
