Two electric debuts, both shortlisted for the Dylan Thomas prize, explore sex, intimacy, and the internet. Sheena Patel’s I’m a Fan hurdles through the mind of its narrator: a woman infatuated with an older, unavailable artist and his partner. Saba Sams’ short story collection, Send Nudes, chronicles growing up too fast and too online, its narrators reckoning with friendship, mothers, and sexuality. Chaired by Sasha de Buyl.
