If Johann Sebastian Bach was one of the 18th century’s greatest composers, then world-renowned cellist Steven Isserlis is the perfect interpreter today. In The Bach Cello Suites, Isserlis looks for the underlying narratives in these compositions, explaining why they are ripe for interpretation and reinterpretation now. Isserlis is joined by novelist Sebastian Barry, who will read excerpts while Isserlis plays from the suites. Chaired by Kate Molleson.
