In partnership with North Edinburgh Arts, we are also hosting a morning of story-based activities for children who attend their regular ‘Saturday Art and Dance programme. Workshops include a storytelling session with Ailie Finlay, a story and dance workshop with Nadine Aisha Jassat and Rasa, and an opportunity for children to make their own ‘zine.

In addition to these public events, we’ll be hosting author visits to our partner schools across Edinburgh. Michael Pederson will visit Tynecastle High School, Danielle Jawando will visit Craigroyston Community High School, and Tom Morgan-Jones will run draw-alongs in Craigroyston Primary and Pinkie St. Peters Primary.

Edinburgh International Book Festival’s Citizen project is supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery and funded through the PLACE Programme, a partnership between the Scottish Government – through Creative Scotland – the City of Edinburgh Council and the Edinburgh Festivals.
