Free fun, all day long!

Whether you know it as the wriggles and wiggles, zoomies, being full of beans, or GOING TURBO, when your kid is just bursting with energy to spare, our Festival site with dedicated kids' spaces is a great place to let it all out (and activities in our Children's Tent are all completely free!).

Drop in for hands-on, try-it-out activities in the Children's Tent

If there was an aware for the most fun spot in town, we reckon our Children's Tent would run away with it. When there's not a scheduled event taking place, drop in for themed daily activities until 17:00 every day¬

Come by to let loose, stretch out, get hands-on, and make the most of your time on site. No booking is needed, it's all totally free, and everyone is welcomed.

Music, language, movement, and even 'unlikely heroes'... each day's activities will be inspired by a theme-of-the-day. So if you're visiting a few times over the Festival, there'll always be something new to explore and enjoy.

We've gone into the construction business to build a so-cute-you-will-squeal installation for new humans to explore, experience, and enjoy.

Thanks to Little Simon (an imprint of publishers Simon & Schuster), pre-readers can feel, touch, and play their way around some friendly Tuck Me In animals and Slide, Spin, Find characters in Venue C between Monday 24 and Friday 28 August. Think cute cats in PJs, dogs that need dressed, I-spy playing dinosaurs, and sparkling shining unicorns!

You'll find some simple prompts to inspire magical moments between you and your tot. And, at certain times (we'll list them here soon), there'll be facilitated play sessions AND a visit from the Tuck Me In author and illustrator Naomi Tipping!
