Watch online
Stream Schools events straight into your class, whenever works for you.

We know it might not be possible to bring your class to the Festival, which is why we make it possible to tune in for, or catch up on, selected Schools event streams and recordings.
Find out here how to bring the Book Festival into your classroom, either live as the event is happening, or at a time of your choosing on-demand.
Which Schools events are available as Livestreamed and On demand are identified by the labels in the Schools brochure. View the brochure right here after launch in April.
Watch livestreams
Our livestreamed Schools events are free to join, and sign up opens when the Programme goes on sale (in 2026, on Tuesday 28 April).
Once you’ve picked which event your class will enjoy through the magic of technology, you’ll need to make sure you’re registered for the livestream.
Follow these instructions to sign up:
- Register or log in to your account at edbookfest.co.uk/login .
- Find the event you want to register for, and book a ticket opting to either make a donation or watch for free. You’ll receive an email confirmation with a link to watch before the event.
- Look forward to August and get your class excited!
- At the time of the event stream, simply log in to your Book Festival account before the event starts, go to the event page, and click the link to watch.
Watch on demand
All of our livestreamed Schools events are also made available to watch on demand for a period of time after the Festival – usually until the end of the year.
On demand Schools events will appear in our ‘What’s On’ listings, and you can access the event recordings from within each event’s dedicated webpage.
These on demand recordings can support your lessons beyond August, either as standalone viewing or in tandem with our Learning Resources.
