Gavin Knight

Gavin Knight has written for (among others) the Guardian, Evening Standard, Esquire, and The Times. He has spent the last two years embedded undercover with the Metropolitan Police and Greater Manchester Police’s specialist task force XCalibre as well as following heroin addicts, youth workers and charities, all in aid of researching material for his first book Hood Rat. Labeled as the next Gomorrah or Homicide, Knight’s front-line thriller takes an unflinching look at modern Britain and asks urgent questions about our hidden societies. Described as ‘harrowing, shocking, compassionate’ by its publisher, the book is already being adapted for a feature length film by FilmFour.
