John Fardell
John Fardell is a well-respected and widely-published cartoonist whose work has featured in a vast array of publications including the Independent, Viz, the Glasgow Herald and the List.
In recent years John has turned his talents to writing and illustrating books for children. His novels are packed with eccentric characters, adventure and invention and feature ordinary boys and girls in extraordinary situations. In 2009 he won the Royal Mail Scottish Children's Book Award for Manfred the Baddie, his first picture book for young children.
In 2010 John brought his unique mix of live drawing and passion for wacky inventions to a sell-out audience at the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
