Tania Kovats

Tania Kovats is a British artist who lives in Devon.

Tania’s practice encompasses sculpture, installation and projects exploring our experience of landscape. Some of her best-known work includes Tree, an installation for the Natural History Museum, and Rivers, a large-scale sculpture at Jupiter Artland near Edinburgh.

In 2018, Tania was invited to be an Edinburgh International Book Festival Guest Selector. She curated a strand of events exploring the complex relationship between the oceans and the humans who exploit them. Inspired by US marine biologist Rachel Carson’s 1951 book, the strand was entitled ‘The Sea Around Us’.
