Evoking the surpassing beauty of a low earth orbit vantage point, Samantha Harvey’s 2024 Booker Prize-winning Orbital juxtaposes the majestic with the intimate in an exquisite depiction of awe, fragility, and contemplative observation. Harvey returns to the Festival to reflect on her year since winning one of literature’s highest honours and what it means to write life in space with the sensibility of a nature writer.
