Stephen Collins & Tom Gauld (2013 event)
Winner of the 2010 Observer Graphic Short Story Prize, Stephen Collins’ The Gigantic Beard That Was Evil transports readers onto the island of Here, where nobody is allowed to have hair and the not-quite bald Dave is assaulted by a massive beard. Guardian cartoonist Tom Gauld's You're All Just Jealous Of My Jetpack is a collection of quirky strips such as The Owl And The Seasick Pussycat and Brontë Sisters: The Videogame. In this event, filmed live at the 2013 Edinburgh International Book Festival, these the two critically acclaimed cartoonists shared the stage for a deep delve into their charmingly surreal worlds rendered in comic form.
