The Beano (2013 event)

2013 was the year the Beano turned 75. Featuring favourite characters such as Dennis the Menace and Minnie the Minx, this national comic institution is still as fresh as the day it first appeared. In this event, filmed live at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, Morris Heggie and Mike Stirling of DC Thomson take a trip through the Beano’s long and illustrious history, offering an insightful look at some of the nation’s favourite cartoon personalities and reminiscing about those who are no more.
