Delve into the wonderful world of boats and space with Belgian illustrator Jan Van Der Veken, author of Boats, Steamers, Icebreakers, and Ghost Ships (translated by Kristen Gehrman). Explore the history and science of water and space travel, experiment with the science behind some of the rockets and boats by making your own versions, and get inspired to draw based on Jan’s signature retro-futurist style. Three – two – one – lift off!!
