It’s been said that writing about music is like dancing about architecture – it needs to be experienced to be understood. Yet there are writers who manage to capture something of the feeling of listening, the way it moves and shapes us. Today, Dylan Jones (1975), Miranda Sawyer (Uncommon People), and DJ, programmer, and writer Arusa Qureshi (Flip the Script) chat about era-defining artists and songs of the 70s, 90s, and 2000s, and how we might express what music does to us.
