Fady Joudah: The Hearts of a Catastrophe

In his new poetry collection, [ ... ], Palestinian-American poet, translator, physician, and winner of the 2024 Jackson Poetry Prize Fady Joudah responds to the annihilation of Gaza in real-time. Offering multiple views of the world through a Palestinian lens across centuries and continents, his work also reflects moments of love and joy, while forcing us not to turn away from the continuing horror. Moving, eloquent, and essential, Joudah explores the role of poets and poetry in making the impact of inhumane actions understood. Chaired by Zena Agha.
