Join writer Xiaolu Guo (Call Me Ishmaelle, My Battle of Hastings) in this workshop exploring how to work with first-person narrative to bring a distinctive voice onto the page. Together you’ll explore different perspectives on how to construct fiction and non-fiction pieces through the first-person, and explore the borders between fact and fiction, history and everyday events. You’ll also dive into masterworks by Franz Kafka, Virginia Woolf, Annie Ernaux, asking: how can they inspire us?
