Joseph O’Connor: Beleaguered City

International award-winning author Joseph O’Connor returns to the Festival with the next novel in his thrilling, historical Rome Escape Line series. In The Ghosts of Rome, the activists are on a mission to smuggle refugees to safety, until their work is compromised by the arrival of a mysterious parachutist – is he an ally or an imposter? O’Connor joins Maddison Connaughton to discuss his brilliant career as one of Ireland’s most prolific historical novelists.
