Lindsey Hilsum: Poetry as an Act of Witness

Lindsey Hilsum has been a war correspondent for four decades. She’s been a poetry lover for even longer. While in Ukraine, she began tweeting a poem a day, a practice which led to her compiling a collection of beloved poems alongside memories of her own work. In this moving event, Hilsum talks with us about I Brought the War with Me and why we turn to poetry in dark times. Chaired by Festival director Jenny Niven.
