Peter Godwin: Love, Loss, and Occasional Wars

As an author, journalist, and former PEN America president, Peter Godwin has faced conflict with courage throughout his 30-year career. Winning the Orwell Prize with his debut title, Mukiwa, his fourth book, Exit Wounds, sees Godwin face a more personal struggle following his divorce and the death of his mother. Today, he shares his journey of recovery - using a range of different, and sometimes hallucinogenic, strategies - alongside powerful reflections on the singular losses and grief felt by exiles and refugees.
