Filmmaker and historian of the global south Sam Dalrymple has responded to 1947’s partition of India and Pakistan by co-founding Project Dastaan, which uses VR technology to connect displaced families with the villages of their roots. His first book, Shattered Lands, goes even further, examining five key partitions which broke up the enormous Asian territory formerly known as the Indian Empire. Join him today for an insightful conversation about the complex history and geopolitics of Asia. Chaired by Anita Anand.
