Songs for Ghosts with Clara Kumagai

Clara Kumagai made her mark on the YA scene last year with the popular Catfish Rolling, a Yoto Carnegie Medal nominee. Now she’s back, with a beautiful tale of identity, heritage, and memory, Songs for Ghosts, inspired by Puccini’s Madame Butterfly. A hundred years separate Japanese-American teenager Adam and a young Japanese woman who are caught between cultures, relationships, and heartbreak. Clara will share this contemporary ghost story today with Alice Tarbuck.
