Stuart Murdoch: Late Developer

Taking time away from his prolific band Belle and Sebastian, singer Stuart Murdoch has penned a stunning debut novel which fictionalises his own experience with ME (a chronic fatigue illness). Nobody’s Empire is set against the backdrop of a group of friends in early 1990s Glasgow and California. Hear Murdoch talking about his decision to write a novel rather than a memoir, and hope that the book will be an inspiration to other people with chronic illness.
