The Courtyard, Edinburgh Futures Institute

Not to be confused with the other Spiegeltent venues appearing around town in August, our historic Book Festival Spiegeltent is located in our Courtyard at Edinburgh Futures Institute. Hosting musical and theatrical performances, panels, podcast recordings, and conversations, the Spiegeltent stays open late and even has its own bar. This flexible venue offers flat theatre style seating, cabaret seating, and sometimes it even becomes a dancefloor. The booths fill up fast with our unreserved seating policy, so make sure to join the queue early to avoid disappointment.

Sound enhancement: We have sound enhancement systems (i.e. infrared and audio induction loops) in our theatres at Edinburgh Futures Institute. Headsets can be collected from the Box Office or you can connect to the loops with your own hearing aid by switching to the T position.
