Streetreads Library | Edinburgh International Book Festival

Streetreads, run as part of the Simon Community charity, is a library and community space specially designed for people experiencing homelessness in Edinburgh. Over Spring 2026, poet Hannah Lavery and illustrator Katie Quinn will lead eight weekly creative sessions with the community members there, exploring what Edinburgh means to them. This project will lead to a thought-provoking exhibition of work which, in collaboration with Jack Arts, will be displayed around the streets of the city and on our festival site this August.
