What next for endurance cyclist Mark Beaumont after smashing the record for riding solo round the world and then riding the length of the Americas? For his biggest challenge yet, the indefatigable Scot set out to ride from Cairo to Cape Town – the entire length of Africa – in less than 50 days. In this event, filmed live at the 2016 Edinburgh International Book Festival, he recounts his breathtaking story, bringing Africa vividly to life through his exhausting two-wheeled adventure.
