Shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize for his first novel, Black Flamingo, Dean Atta is back at this year’s Festival with his new coming-of-age tale, I Can’t Even Think Straight. Written in Dean’s whip-smart style, this verse novel centres on Kai, his decision to come out, and his relationship with his best friend who doesn’t feel ready to do the same.
