Jeremy Atherton Lin & Charlie Porter: Trying to Make it Home

Jeremy Atherton Lin’s Deep House combines a kaleidoscopic history of the battle for marriage equality with a radically intimate memoir. Charlie Porter’s debut novel Nova Scotia House celebrates the joy and creativity of the queer community before the AIDS pandemic. Juxtaposing past and present, ecstasy and heartache, both books use homes as a structure to explore and illuminate queer histories. The authors discuss capturing queer truths in their discussion today.
