Michael Pedersen: Charged by Starlight

Edinburgh’s Makar, Michael Pedersen, is an effervescent poet, poignant memoirist, anarchic event host… and now a debut novelist. He joins Russell Tovey to discuss the offbeat Muckle Flugga, which recounts the unsettling arrival of a stranger on a windswept island, setting asunder the lives of its lighthouse keeper and his dreamer son, Ouse. In the ensuing tug of war for Ouse’s affections, Pedersen asks what might happen when dreams are dragged to earth?
