Penny Johnson & Raja Shehadeh: What We Choose To Rememeber

What do the physical memorials of the past and how they are remembered tell us about the ongoing conflicts of today? Discussing Forgotten: Searching for Palestine’s Hidden Places and Lost Memorials, lawyer, writer, and human rights activist Raja Shehadeh and writer and researcher Penny Johnson will explore the landscape of Israel and Palestine to show how monuments which have been created, maintained, or neglected map the political and cultural struggles which fragment the land today. Chaired by Mahmoud Muna.
