A membership for the Edinburgh International Book Festival is a great way to enjoy a closer relationship with the world’s finest celebration of the written word, while receiving exclusive benefits.

Champion

£480 a year
£40 a month
  • 3 days of advance booking: up to 3 tickets per event (5 for kids' events) for 20 events.
  • Invitations to 5 private events a year.
  • Priority queuing for the main theatre.
  • Acknowledgement on our website and at the Festival site.
  • Limited Edition Newsletter by post twice yearly.
  • Priority mailing of the festival brochure.

Benefactor

from £2,000 a year
from £167 a month
  • 4 days of advance booking: up to 4 tickets per event (5 for kids' events) for unlimited events.
  • Invitations to 7 private events a year.
  • Priority queuing for the main theatre.
  • Reserved seating for all events.
  • Acknowledgement in the brochure, on our website and at the Festival site.
  • A special gift on signing up, and a book selected for you by the Director each Christmas.
  • Priority mailing of the festival brochure.
  • Limited Edition Newsletter by post twice yearly, a bespoke Benefactor report and in-person meetings with Festival staff.
  • 10% discount on food and non-alcoholic drinks on site.
From time to time we will be able to send our members additional discounts and offers by email, including from relevant third parties.
 
Memberships last for one year from the date of purchase and you will be sent a reminder to renew your annual membership over a month before it is due to expire. If you choose to pay by Direct Debit, your membership will renew automatically, unless you tell us otherwise. We aim to send out confirmation letters and membership cards within couple of weeks after your renewal. 
 

Gift Memberships

If you would like to purchase a membership as a gift, please do so over the phone by calling our Development team on 0131 718 5653. You can also call this number if you wish to purchase a membership for yourself.

*Please note: It is our policy to ensure that a proportion of tickets remain available for members of the general public when public booking opens. The number of tickets available to members during the Advance Booking period is therefore limited and all tickets are subject to availability.
