New for 2026: Friends Plus+

We love our Friends, but sometimes you want that little bit extra: Advance Booking a day earlier, additional perks, such as access to our Members Lounge in August or the feeling that you are supporting the Book Festival you love even more.
 
  • Advance Booking can be busy, so a day earlier access will give you a better chance to get those hot tickets.
  • We're trialling our Members' Lounge this summer and it will become a benefit for Friends Plus+ and upwards in 2026.
  • Invitations to our Supporters Programme Launch event in June 2026 (ticketed, Pay What You Can) and our Supporters Coffee event in August 2026 will come your way. You will also receive an invitation for yourself and a guest to our festive event at Waterstones in Edinburgh in November this year.

All our members are also among the first to hear the latest Book Festival news.
 

 

A Friend Plus+ membership costs £120 and lasts for one year from the date of purchase. You will be sent a reminder to renew your annual membership over a month before it is due to expire.
 
With a Friend Plus+ membership you also have the option of spreading the cost with paying £10 monthly by direct debit.
